Justice for Palestine is a human rights organisation working in Aotearoa New Zealand to promote justice, self-determination, equality and freedom for the Palestinian people.
Together with our members we organise campaigns and events to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause, to grow the Palestine solidarity movement in Aotearoa, and to advance Palestinian human rights.
SANCTIONS CAMPAIGN
Israel is currently carrying out a genocide and maintaining an unlawful occupation in Palestine with impunity. Our Government has failed to take meaningful action, despite the people of Aotearoa New Zealand repeatedly calling for it.
Chlöe Swarbrick, the co-leader of the Green Party, has put forward the members’ bill “Unlawful Occupation of Palestine Sanctions Bill” to get New Zealand to adopt concrete legislative measures to impose consequences for Israel’s actions.
DON’T BANK ON APARTHEID
Don’t Bank on Apartheid is an Aotearoa-based campaign that responds to the call of Palestinian civil society for boycott, divestment and sanctions on Israel until it complies with international law.
The first target is ASB Bank and its KiwiSaver funds that have investments in Motorola Solutions, a company included in a UN list of businesses involved in activities that contribute to apartheid and illegal Israeli settlements.
